2010 USATF Membership: All athletes that participate in the 2010 National Scholastic Indoor Championship will need a valid 2010 USATF number. All participants must bring proof of purchase to registration.
 
Packet Pick-up: Packet will be at the New Balance Track & Field Center.
Thursday: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am - 12 noon
 
Wristbands/Credentials: Each athlete will receive a wristband. Coach’s wristbands (based upon the number of athletes entered from a team, 1 per 5 athletes) will be given out at registration. Wristbands must be worn at all times. Wristbands must be worn for the duration of the three days of the meet. They are waterproof. No replacement bands will be issued.

Eligibility for Freshman 1 Mile (9th Grade athletes ONLY)
The Freshman 1 Mile is open to full-time students in the 9th grade who have met qualifying standards. Home schooled athletes should contact us for additional informaton.
 
Eligibility for 7-8th Grade Events (7-8th Grade athletes ONLY)
The 7-8th Grade events are open to full-time students in grades 7-8 who have met qualifying standards. Home schooled athletes should contact us for additional informaton. 6th grade athletes are NOT eligible to compete in 7-8th grade events.

Time Schedule: We reserve the right to have the meet run up to 30 minutes ahead of schedule. It is the responsibility of the athlete to be ready for competition when your event is called.
 
Race Numbers: Race numbers must be worn on the front of your shirt. DO NOT fold race numbers.
 
Competition Uniforms: Athletes compete in their own uniforms. Relay teams must wear matching uniforms.
 
Clerking: Clerking for running events will be done in the clerking area outside the first curve. All athletes should check in immediately upon arrival at the track. About 30 minutes before their event is conducted, athletes should report back to the clerking area for the final time before being escorted to the track or field area. Clerking for field events will take place at the competition area for the event.
 
Warm-up: Warm-ups are restricted to the warm up area on the second floor and outside (weather permitting) There is no warming up on the track once the meet begins.
 
Protest: All protest must be filled in writing with the referee within 15 minutes of the announcement of any results. All protest must be accompanied by $25 in cash. If the protest is upheld your money will be returned.
 
Spikes: Up to a 1/4 inch pyramid or Xmas tree style spikes are permitted in all competition areas. All shoes will be checked.
 
In all races with trials and final, if an athlete/team scratches from the final, alternates are eligible to compete.
 
The infield has an 8-lane Mondo-surfaced area for 55 & 60-meter dashes and hurdle events.
 
60m: The top 24 best times advance to the semi-finals. The top 8 advance to the final-top 2 in each heat plus the next 2 best times.
 
60m Hurdles: The top 24 best times advance to the semi-finals. The top 8 advance to the final-top 2 in each heat plus the next 2 best times.
 
200m: The top 12 best times advance to a 3 section final (fastest section last). Athletes must check in 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
 
400m: The top 12 best times advance to a 2 section final (fastest section last). Athletes must check in 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Blocks will NOT be allowed in the trials.
 
200m and 400m: Heat sheets include an alphabetical list of participants in these events. Athletes must check-in at least 30 minutes before the event. At that time scratches will be noted and the clerk will draw for heats and lanes. In both the 200m and 400m the fastest 12 times will advance to the final on time. The fastest will run last with empty lanes to be filled from the slower section; the lanes will subsequently be redrawn. The 200m will have a 3-section final. The 400m will have a 2-section final.
 
7-8th Grade 400m: The 12 best times will advance to a two section final (seeded section last). Blocks will NOT be allowed in the trials.
 
800m, 1 Mile, 2 Mile and 5000m: Sections on time (seeded section last) Two or three alleys: 2-turn stagger
 
Relays: We will provide relay batons, do not bring your own.
 
4x200m: Final on tme (fastest section last), 3 turn stagger final.
 
4x400m: Final on time (fastest section last), 2 turn stagger final.
The top 12 Boy seed times will run at 3:35PM and the top 12 Girl seed times will run at 3:50PM.
 
4x800m: Sections on time (seeded section last) Two or three alley: 2 turn stagger
 
4xMile: Sections on time (seeded section last)
 
SMR (200-200-400-800): Sections on time (seeded section last), 3 turn stagger
 
DMR (1200-400-800-1600): Sections on time (seeded section last), 2 turn stagger
 
Shuttle Hurdle Relay: Sections on time. The order of the Shuttle Hurdle Relay on Friday will be girls followed by boys.
 
Pentathlon: Every other lane in the High Hurdles.
 
Shot Put and Weight Throw: Top 8 athletes advance to the final. Best flights last.
The Shot Put/Weight Throw cage is located at the East end of the track.
Weigh-In: All personal shot puts (indoor variety only) and weights (the "bag" only) must be weighed in. Only implements meeting all specifications can be used in the competition. Once weighed in, an approved implement will be impounded until the start of the competition and can be used by ANYBODY in the competition. Weigh-in will begin one hour before each competition at the throwing circle. You must provide your own shot or weights for throwing events. Your implements will be weighed and certified by our meet officials before you will be allowed to use them. Rejected implements will not be permitted in the competition.
 
High Jump: Girls-Five alive, Opening height 1.50m, Boys-Five alive, Opening height 1.81. Starting Heights: Starting heights are 4’11 and 5’11.25 respectively for the girls and boys high jump. The High Jump competition is held on the infield. There are two high jump areas which are located at the east and west end of the infield. Both have Mondo-surfaced run-up areas.
 
Pole Vault Automatic Advancement to Final: All girls that have previously jumped 12'6” and boys that have previously jumped 15'6” can automatically advance to the pole vault final. An additional twelve pole vaulters will qualify for the finals from the trials the previous day.
